Very close to the mathematical confirmation of another season in Serie A of the Brazilian Championship, Ceará is already starting to look to the top of the national tournament table in search of a place in a South American competition, with the main objective being to be in the next Liberators. Even so, the management is already thinking about 2022.

Thus, a 9 shirt should be one of the priorities in the Vozão ball market, so much so that, a few weeks ago, the site Torcedores.com reported that there was the interest of the club from Ceará in Germán Cano, from Vasco. If the gringo is not hired, the team can look for other names.

One of them, that of forward Leandro Damião, who in Brazil wore the shirt of clubs like Internacional, Flamengo and Cruzeiro. The athlete has been playing in Japanese football at Kawasaki Frontale where, this season, for example, he has 28 goals and 10 assists in 45 games.

But for the fans of Vozão who expected to see Damião wearing the Ceará shirt, the news is not good. With a great goal average in Asia, the player himself announced via social networks that he is renewing the contract in Japan, which forces the club to turn the radar to other names.
