According to Concen, the calculation is for those who consume about 200 kilowatt-hours per month
After the state government delivers the bill that provides for a 3% reduction in the ICMS rate, the Concen (Consumers Council of the Concession Area of Energisa MS) calculates that the impact on the energy bill will be R$ 8 for those who consume , on average, 200 kilowatt-hours, which corresponds to 56% of the water scarcity flag rate.
In the assessment of the council, there will still be a need to continue saving energy, since the water scarcity tariff flag, in force since September 1st, foresees an increase of R$ 14.20 for each 100 kilowatt-hours consumed. THE
Due to the dry period, the rate was created to guarantee the cost of energy generation through thermoelectric plants activated to supply the demand.
“On a consumer bill that is in the range of 200 kilowatt-hours of monthly consumption, which is our average consumption in Mato Grosso do Sul, the impact would be BRL 8.00, considering the Campo Grande Cosip as a parameter and the PIS and Cofins of August”, says the president of Concen, Rosimeire Costa.
Even with the benefit, Concen advises that the consumer must be aware and that the energy bills will probably be with higher values compared to the previous month.
On Tuesday, Governor Reinaldo Azambuja (PSDB) went to the Legislative Assembly to deliver to the president of the House of Laws, Deputy Paulo Corrêa (PSDB), the bill that would reduce the ICMS rate while the most expensive tariff flag is in force . The State calculates that it is giving up R$36 million per quarter.
The project will be processed urgently at the Casa de Leis and the expectation is that it will be approved within a maximum of 15 days.
