Vicente López works year after year in security matters, making integral investments in human resources, technology and equipment to have a safer municipality. In 2014 there were 300 cameras installed, while today it has more than 2,000 in all neighborhoods.
In addition, it is the municipality with the most cameras per block in the province of Buenos Aires.
The new cameras are located according to crime statistics and at the points of greatest monitoring interest. There are 3 models: still with 4K image; internal with vandal resistant format and greater coverage in confined spaces; and dome cameras with x55 optical zoom, anti-fog infrared and gyroscopic sensor. In addition, all installed units have optimal HD and FULL HD video quality.
“Achieving 2,000 cameras is one more milestone than several, we already have 82 safe points, police stations, patrols, neighborhood alarms and the joint work of all the forces in the Monitoring Center. We continue working to be able to offer the neighbor a quick response to an emergency ”, he concluded Jorge Macri.
In addition, the storage capacity of the videos has been improved and forensic video analytics continue to be added in order to collect more information from the events to provide better and faster responses.
