The woman who fell off the bus and was run over by her own vehicle had part of her leg amputated. The information was released by the victim’s family this Friday (17). She is still hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Regional Hospital Costa do Cacau, in Ilhéus, a city in the south of Bahia.
The accident happened on Thursday (16) and the Civil Police opened an inquiry to investigate the case. The victim was identified as Maria da Conceição Amorim, 58 years old, and is a public servant.
Still on Thursday, the driver who drove the bus testified at the police station and the vehicle underwent an expertise. During the process, the functioning of the brakes was analyzed and the doors were tested.
There is no information about what caused the accident. Other passengers will also provide testimonials.
