Applications are open for Young Lions 2023, a competition in the area of communication and marketing aimed at pairs of young people up to 30 years of age, who work in Portuguese companies. The winners will represent Portugal at the Cannes International Festival of Creativity, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary.
The first phase of registrationswhich must be done in contest official page, ends next Monday, March 20th. Applications are open for the categories of film, marketingdesign, press/billboardpublic relations and digital.
In this first phase of applications, participants must submit a portfolio or a CV, accompanied by their names and the category for which they compete. Until the 4th of April, the organization will publish the list of the 70 finalists who advance to the second phase of the competition, the bootcamp.
In the final phase, which should take place between the 14th and 17th of April, all finalists must respond to a challenge proposed by the brand that sponsors the category they are trying to represent. The seven most creative duos will come out of here, one per category, who will represent Portugal in Cannes between the 19th and 23rd of June.
“Revisiting historical icons and characters from the collective imagination who made history” — and bringing them up to date — is the theme of this year’s edition, in which PÚBLICO is one of the media partners.
The jury panel is made up of names such as Ivo Purvis, Pedro Mesquita, Daniel Caeiro, Alberto Rui, Domingas Carvalhosa and Manuela Botelho.
