A young man died and at least two other men were injured after a cement container fell on a concrete mixer truck, late this Tuesday afternoon (28), in the Retiro neighborhood, in Salvador.
According to the Bahia Military Fire Brigade (CMBA), the accident happened inside a company, whose name was not disclosed. The victims would be employees and were on duty when they were hit.
Still according to the advisory of the military firefighters, a fire broke out after the fall of the reservoir, but the fire was controlled by agents who were called to the scene.
According to information given to iBahia by the Municipal Health Department (SMS), the workers were identified as a 28-year-old, who did not resist, and two men, aged 52 and 55.
The two injured were rescued by people and taken to a hospital before the arrival of the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) and firefighters. The third victim was certified dead at the scene.
The young man’s body, which was trapped in the truck’s hardware, will be sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) after being rescued by military firefighters. Until the last update of this report, agents were still working on site.
